This page explains how to request deletion of your QuickCaption account and associated data. QuickCaption provides flexible options for managing your data, including partial deletion of specific content and full account deletion.
By using QuickCaption, you acknowledge that you have read and understand the deletion options described below.
Overview
QuickCaption offers two types of data deletion:
- Partial Deletion: Remove specific projects, features, or content while keeping your account active
- Full Deletion: Permanently delete your entire account and all associated data
Partial Data Deletion
Partial deletion allows you to remove specific content from your QuickCaption account without deleting your entire account. This gives you granular control over your data.
What Can Be Partially Deleted
You can request deletion of:
- Individual Projects: Deleting a project removes the project and all associated data including videos, generated captions, AI-generated audio, and any edits or modifications
- Generated Captions: Remove AI-generated captions from specific projects while keeping the project and other content
- AI-Generated Audio: Delete AI voice narrations or audio replacements from specific projects
- Video Files: Remove uploaded video files from specific projects
- Other Project Features: Delete specific features or modifications within a project
What Is Kept After Partial Deletion
When you perform partial deletion:
- Your account profile and settings remain intact
- Other projects and their associated data are preserved
- Account preferences and subscription information are maintained
- Usage history and analytics data may be retained for service improvement
How to Request Partial Deletion
To delete specific content:
- Open the QuickCaption app on your device
- Navigate to the project or content you wish to delete
- Use the delete option within the app interface
- Confirm the deletion when prompted
- The content will be permanently removed from our systems

Full Account Deletion
Full account deletion permanently removes your QuickCaption account and all associated data from our systems. This action cannot be undone.
What Is Deleted in Full Account Deletion
When you request full account deletion, the following data will be permanently removed:
- Your user account profile and all account information
- All projects created in your account
- All uploaded video files
- All AI-generated captions
- All AI-generated audio and voice narrations
- All project edits, modifications, and settings
- Account preferences and customizations
- Usage history and analytics data associated with your account
Data Retention Period
After you request full account deletion, your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days of your request. During this period, your account will be deactivated and inaccessible, but data may still exist in our backup systems.
Some data may be retained for longer periods if required by law, such as transaction records for billing purposes, which may be kept for up to 7 years as required by financial regulations.
How to Request Full Account Deletion
To request full account deletion, follow these steps:
- Open the QuickCaption app on your device
- Navigate to Settings or Account Settings
- Select 'Delete Account' or 'Account Deletion'
- Review the information about what will be deleted
- Confirm your request by entering your account password or following additional verification steps
- You will receive a confirmation email at the address associated with your account
Alternatively, you can request account deletion by emailing us at brandon.chikezie@outlook.com with the subject line 'Account Deletion Request' and include your account email address and a clear statement that you wish to delete your account.
Important Considerations
Before requesting full account deletion, please note:
- This action is permanent and cannot be undone
- You will lose access to all your projects and content immediately
- If you have an active subscription, you should cancel it separately through your platform's subscription management
- You will not be able to recover any deleted content after the retention period expires
- We recommend downloading or exporting any content you wish to keep before requesting deletion
Data Deletion Without Account Deletion
Yes, QuickCaption provides a way for users to request that some or all of their data is deleted without requiring them to delete their account. This is accomplished through our partial deletion feature described above.
You can delete individual projects, specific content, or all projects while keeping your account active. This gives you full control over your data without losing access to your account.
Verification and Processing
To protect your account security, we may require verification before processing deletion requests. This may include:
- Email verification from the address associated with your account
- Password confirmation for account deletion requests
- Additional identity verification for sensitive deletion requests
We will process your deletion request as soon as possible, typically within 5-7 business days for partial deletions and within 30 days for full account deletions.
Third-Party Data
If you have shared QuickCaption content through third-party platforms or services, deleting your QuickCaption account will not remove that content from those external platforms. You will need to delete that content separately through those services.
